In Part 3 of the book Captain Kanaan worries out loud about the geopolitical implications of AI. “ Regardless of their locations, cloud computing simply allows us to instantaneously draw upon the strength, software, and information of other computers -which are inevitably more powerful, equipped, and versatile than our own.” But it was his review of neural networks in Chapter 9 that I would have to call my favorite, not only because it brought back good memories, but because it showed how far the field has come since it first gained my attention in the late 1980s. “ Cloud computing is just a means of accessing all aspects of computing services over the internet,” he explains.
